A naked-eye double is a double star or binary star system which can be seen in a naked eye (no telescopes or binoculars needed). An example is the double star Epsilon Lyrae in the constellation Lyra, although this is sometimes difficult to see. An easier system to view is the pair Mizar and Alcor in Ursa Major (near the Big Dipper).
